How it all began
In 1953, Pastor Ken Althoff liquidated his personal assets to open a small gift shop in the quaint town of Cannon Falls, Minnesota. The Seven Seas gift shop, as it was known, was a family venture, with his wife and three children helping with the daily work of running a retail business. The gift shop grew to be successful, but Ken saw new opportunities in becoming a wholesale company.

All about the artistry and tradition
In the 1980s, operating as a wholesale company, we created our own, in-studio design department and began designing our own unique holiday and seasonal home décor available exclusively from Midwest. Now, our exclusive designs are sold under our Seasons of Cannon Falls brand name.
